Lan Se Teahouse

          Experiment tea differently ...

Lan Se Teahouse

The Lan Se Tea House is a project that Olivier has been working on for a few years: to offer a tasting and discovery space centred around tea, and more specifically around Gong Fu Cha. And here we are, it is now discreet place hidden at the back of the tea shop L’Heure Bleue !

The teahouse propose high quality teas, some are exceptional : aged teas that age and evolve over time, such as Puerh and Liu Bao teas, as well as some oolongs (like Yan Cha or Dan Cong), and a few white teas. The approach is based on the practice of Gong Fu Cha: selecting the tea, choosing the most suitable teaware and carefully put all these elements into place...

What drives Olivier, it's to introduce to a different way of preparing and enjoying tea. All the pieces from ceramicists on sale can be handled and tested, so that your choices are validated by experience.

The place also comes alive through events: tastings, workshops, meetings with ceramicists,... Full programme in the agenda !

The Lanse Teahouse aims to be a haven, away from the tumult, where time expands, following the rhythm of infusions and new encounters...

Olivier does not present himself as a tea master or an expert, let alone as a merchant. He is a facilitator, a researcher, an explorer...

His passion is constantly renewed and evolves, driven by doubt, curiosity, experiences... He never claims to know, but always seeks to understand and test.

So that the Lan Se Teahouse is a natural extension of this approach, a place to share and transmit: a space for deceleration, listening, experimentation, wonder, and encounters.

No computer or phone: here, there is just the tea and the richness of the exchanges with other tea enthusiasts. We taste together, share impressions, sometimes moments of silence. Tea becomes a connection, a language, a memory...
